    wow what a lame website this is. In case you hadn’t noticed, penny arcade is a humorous web comic, it’s not fact or meant to be taken seriously even, a lot like this website it would seem. “omg penny arcade makes a humorous strip therefore it must mean the ps online store is rubbish” - jesus, grow up.

    But judging by lack of comments it seems that, fortunately, most people have already worked out how pathetic this site is.

    funy comic, i first thought it was pokin fun about MS Vista challenge dialogs, then i rememberd it was a comic that is a parody on some sucky online playstation store.

    i thought about taking it seriously at first, but then i remembered it was a comic… then i remembered some comics are deep and have deep deep messages, like how sucky sony’s online playstation is, cuz it like sucks and all.

    Alot of things that are funny are in fact true or based on truth. Penny Arcade is indeed a humourous web based comic but that doesn’t change the fact that the online PS store is crap and that the comic strip pretty much sums up how it is to deal with it.

    It is therefore quite clear, even to the most dim witted individual that, by the title to the comic, and it’s content, Penny Arcade is using a common tactic referred to as SARCASM to get across the point that the Playstation store is anything but fun and convenient.

    Point in fact - The online Playstation store is horrendously bad, with an awful layout, extremely slow, and most importantly, lacking in any decent content (so far).

    (also a multiple format gamer btw)

    I despise you. I despise Nintendo. I despise Microsoft (Apple is better). Now read this E-Mail. In a comparison of Gran Turismo 4 (Sony) verses Forza Motorsport (microsoft) (purposely left smaller case), Gran Turismo 4 wins in every way. Kratos from God Of War will tear up Link and Master Cheif. PS3 out does the XBox 360’s graphics and Nintendo Wii is “supposed to get you in the game”, how can you do that when the Wii has ugly Graphics!!! I agree with Steve, this website sucks. Even if Sony sucks at games, which they don’t, they still have D.V.D.’s, T.V.’s, Computers/Labtops, Radios and Cameras. If they suck, how come they created Blu-ray and all the D.V.D. companies want Blu-Ray!!! I rest my case, Shut Down this website or you will be reported!!

    Sony sucks fucking dick! I purchased items from their main website and put the wrong street number, called them 5 minutes later and due to “security purposes” they could not change the street number. The address was not even valid and the only thing I needed changed was the street number and could provide everything! instead they let the fucking goods go out the door and it took 3 months to get. Sony suck-a-my-ballz!

    Sony sucks because it has forgotten its roots. It is no longer a customer-oriented company, they have become very greedy and believe that no matter what, people will keep buying their products because of its brandname. Call their customer care and you will be given idiotic turn arounds. Sony will try to profit as much as possible from you.. come on, have you noticed your devices can’t even include sometimes a stupid data cable or the basics? Basically Sony’s strategy has been “PROFIT FROM THE ACCESORIES”.

    Quite truly, nowadays, not a single Sony device can be considered well made (somebody said they make laptops, yes they do and they are very troublesome , they will all break down within a short lifetime). Look at their devices, they are all very constrainted. Apple sucks because they make nothing on their own (they make everything at somebody else’s factory in China — oh, the PS3 and PSP is also made in that same factory but get this: Sony walkman used to be the king of portable audio. And now in their narrow minded vision of things, they will never regain this market).

    SONY doesn’t care if you are a loyal customer. They have the sick japanese mentality of EVERYTHING BY THE BOOKS. For them, there are no special cases, situations. Everything should be done by the book. Call them, tell them your real problem.. just wait and see, how they categorize it in their book (narrow mind).

    And to make things worse, The briton in charge of SONY has done absolutely nothing to improve SONY, in fact, it has gotten even worse.

    SONY sucks. There is no doubt about it. If you have owned many Sony products you will know the quality is not as good as you would expect, you will see that the lifetime of their devices are very limited, that they are more expensive than the competitors, that your purchase has very little accessories included. Call them to complain about something and you will see how instead of giving you solutions they will tell you that the RULE 1, BOOK 1, ARTICLE 1, LINE 1 says “Im never responsible”.

    This is the true Sony, and suckers like us have continued buying their products over and over again. But I won’t do so anymore. Not until they realize that LOYAL customers are the most important asset of a company.

    What ever you do don’t a Sony PSP

    I brought one foe my 14 year old son only 3 MONTHS ago and now it doesn’t work

    dead pixels. Took it back to the store and they said they would send it back to Sony for repair. I was okay with that Sony then inform the store they will replace it, Fantastic was my first reaction when the store told me of this.

    Then I get a phone call from the store saying that Sony had changed their minds and that I would have to pay for a repair. A cost of £60.oo, well I wasn’t happy at all. The PSP had been checked by the store to see if had been dropped or miss-used they confirmed to Sony that there was no miss-use and it had not been dropped.

    I decided to call Sony what a mistake that was TOTAL UNHELPFUL the guy at the end of the so called helpline was a complete DICK (DID NOT HAVE A CLUE) he asked for my ref No 3 time because he hadn’t written it down (brainless) I explained to him that I wasn’t happy and wished to speak to a supervisor, he told me that none were available ( What a surprise ) I said that I was unwilling to except this and told him to get me a Supervisor right now. He again said he was unwilling to do this for me.

    But why would he?, I’m one of their customers, why would they want to help me? I mean why should they?????????

    I kept on asking for a Supervisor to talk to and he kept on saying that none were available. This went on for 1hur 20mins

    Then to top it all he HUNG UP on me.

    WHAT A WAY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH….SONY

    SO DON’T BUY ANY SONY PRODUCT

    THEY SUCK

    have you checked out their online store? its confusing as fuck with no prices just fancy pictures of loving LOOKING machines! you want me to add something to basket and you not gonna tell me how much the damn thing is how pointless, also if you want to see prices you must enter your postcode and it will direct you to a store! this is telling me that the retail outlets are all priced up differently! so depending on where you live you will pay accordingly! WTF! not everyone on this planet is rich and have that care free attitude that money is no issue! some of us wanna know exactly what we getting! HOW MUCH WE HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!! and most importantly with sony how long its gonna last and what you gonna do if it goes wrong??

    2days ago I was highly excited on coming to the decision of investing in a new machine, excited that I had already given myself the choice between a mac book pro and a vaio. Sorry sony!! but you have lost my confidence! your website has irritated n offended me, your online consumer publicity is piss poor! and ur after sales customer services well lets not go into that…………….

    anybody thinking on buying any sony products you should seriously do your research before handing over your hard earned money!!

    Wow, now I know many others hate Sony. Had a horrible experience with their customer support on a camcorder. My wife bought a fancy CD clock radio. The transformer was overly heavy and the power cord borke and twisted so the unit shorted out. Of course Sony used never seen anywhere else triangular screw heads so you can;t even attempt to repair it. I just need to train my family members NEVER BUY ANYTHING SONY.

    I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
