So u want to spend money to play online, or have to buy many supplies just to compare to the PS3. PS3, hmmmm….. lets see, built in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, built in Blue Ray, 4 USB ports, HDMI port, and the other parts im not getting into. PS3 made a 60GB hard drive, so what did Microsoft do, they made the XBOX 360 Elite with 120GB. Even thou it came with more in the bundle you still had to buy the $100 Wi-Fi adaptor and the $200 HD DVD with it. I also heard a rumor that Microsoft is redesigning there controlers to have the motion sensing in them, who did that first, SONY PLAYSTATION 3. If Microsoft deos that they will be copying of of the PS3. So now the conclusion, lets add up the XBOX 360 elite with the stuff the the PS3 60GB has in it, except the HDMI cable.360 elite bundle pack $480, Wi-Fi adaptor $100, HD DVD drive $200, add them all up and you get $780, and dont forget the $50 XBOX live membership, thats $830. Wow what a rip off. With the PS3 60GB you might not get a HDMI cable or the headset, which does not cost that much, you get all the other stuff and the controllers are easier to charge because you only need a USB cable. Plus you get the 50GB Disc compasity, Blue Ray Drive. So all that for $600, I think that is a great deal.

the video is a great find. my wife asks, me .. oh? you like that song? I say, yah it’s cool huh? she’s like, yah, “how to save a friend” by “frank” is a good song.
i says, this isn’t about how to save a friend it’s about how sony sucks and and this music is soundtrack to a video biography of how sony killed the playstation brand.
quite an informative piece.

Sony and Microsoft both suck, but despite what microsoft has done with Windows and PC market, when it comes to gaming consoles the 360 crushes the PS3, why… sheer market numbers, the PS3 is CRAP with NO games, you can have 100 HDMI ports and motion sensing from here to the friggin moon but it’s all worth ZIP without decent games to play.
I would much rather pay a few dollars a year for a proper service than have for ‘free’ the absolute rubbish that Sony has to offer through the PSN, and believe me I know, I have both the PS3 and the 360.
Besides all that, the Nintendo Wii was the first to come out with motion capable controllers, the motion sensing in the PS3 controllers is very basic, and the blu-ray addition to the PS3 is friggin useless, there are still no titles I want to get on blu-ray and until the next gen format ‘war’ is over I don’t want either a blu-ray or hd-dvd drive, so Microsoft got it right by excluding it. I have a 46″ Samsung 1080p LCD TV but watching movies on DVD is fine for the moment.
In conclusion its very clear you’re just a Sony fanboy that saved every penny you have for the ridiculous PS3 that has nothing going for it besides it’s ‘features’, which as I said are useless without games. There are only two types of people that own PS3’s, 360 owners that want both consoles coz they can, and pubeless little geeks that have the delusion Sony is actually doing it all for the gamers.
Whichever you are game on! (unless you only have a PS3 coz then you’d have no games eh…)

Sony does suck. Just had my 4th repair on a $4,000 tv and the repair guy broke the TV fan and now they are trying to charge me another $500, plus the optical drive has broken three times and their customer service is awful, especially John (CUWU) who keeps bragging when you call that he works for the vice president and you can’t get any higher up the chain than him and no one even shows up for your appointment and if you haven’t bought a Sony, make sure you never do, because no one needs to spend this kind of money and get nothing but stress and talked down to. The new Xbox 360 won’t even need a remote, so that’s better anyway, so don’t fall for the price reduction on the playstation people, because they know the new 360 is going to be way better. thanks for letting me vent on your website. hope more people start to realize how much SONY SUCKS!

Never had a reason to worry about the format wars until my wife surprised me with a 46″ LED TV with 1080p. Sony went and forced more of there substandard and over stuffed crap on us with more pie in the sky promises that (of course) will never come true. BlueRay?!!! OMFG I have seen the difference between HD and BlueRay and even though HD has a much smaller file size it delivers a better picture. Why? Because it isn’t loaded down with all of the !@#$% that Sony loves to cram in every thing they make which makes the system have to work that much harder to put out lower quality video (and who suffers?). Just like the PS2 with big empty promises they killed the Dreamcast even though it was a more reliable and better system. The next attempt is the PS3 that was over hyped but again, choked down with so much protection software/spyware/dirtyunderware that it will never be the game system that the 360 or Wii is. Does any one remember what Sony wanted CDs, DVDs, or games to be marked for singe use? That way you could not lend, borrow or transfer any of the entertainment media that you bought and paid for. Sony did me one big favor though by killing HD movies… I can now pick them up for dirt cheap on the internet. Thank you, you greedy corporate mofos. I will NEVER ever own any thing related to Sony. And I know that means movies, tv shows, and music. I can live without another release of the Beatles White Album, and Sony can keep there Memory Sticks for where the sun don’t shine.

Well, well, well; I finally found a site that is telling the truth about Sony. I had one of their very expensive Vaio Laptops. No complaints until one day when I plugged it in and the thing started to smoke. e-mailed them and they sent a box to transport it to Sony’s fix em up shop. They called and told me that the female plug in the back had a broken plastic piece. They would need $180.00 to fix it. I demanded to speak to a higher up and was transferred up several times to the next level. Finally one of them went and checked with the tech who was working on it. When they called back they said I had broken the plug because I didn’t know how to unplug the AC adapter correctly!!!
I’m a computer scientist who handles all kinds of computer equipment and although I have had numerous laptops as well as many other electronic components with ac adapters, I thought I knew quite well how to unplug things properly. Well they took their stand on the $180.00 and I paid it. When I received the laptop back, it no longer charged the battery. I thought the idiots just toasted my battery and ordered a new on (not from Sony) but that wouldn’t charge as well. They had not checked/had not fixed the charging system of the laptop that wasn’t working. I have three Sony desktops, Sony laptops, two Sony movie cameras, a Sony digital camera, Sony DVD player and Sony speakers. However after being treated like this, they will all gradually be replaced by non-Sony equipment. I wrote and told them exactly that and about a month later, I received a letter inviting me to appeal to a Sony vice-president’s appeal board. I happily declined saying after dealing with several levels of “customer” service management, it spoke volumes to me about how Sony has changed over the years and I simply don’t like the emphasis on short-term gains over the long-term relationship I used to have with them.
